Medicine Mandalas

Medicine Mandalas

Each one of us is doomed and privileged to be an artist who carries and shapes a unique world. – John O’Donohue

A mandala is a magic circle that encompasses all of the world, a circle where all things are connected to you and you are connected to all things, where you can discover the wonder of knowing about yourself: who you are and what can you do in this lifetime. When you open your mind and your heart you can see the magic that is around you and inside you all the time.

Connection to the Earth plays an essential role. Our workshops take place mostly in nature and are deeply linked to the natural elements: fire, water, earth, air, ether.

Connection to the innermost Self, the Soul or Atman is absolutely necessary for this work. Therefore our workshops are accompanied with visits to the territory of silence.

We work with colours and their frequential qualities by using the teachings and products of Aura-Soma, colour therapy for the soul.

Each of the processes culminates in the creation of a personal mandala, a sacred geometry based circular drawing that can be taken home and placed at your special wall or altar.

Marga Mandala (The Way)

Based on your choice of colour combinations this process will give you insights into the current inner journey, necessary challenges, possible new tools and desired outcomes.

The process can be repeated once a year or at some other interval of time to give you a continuing fresh perspective on your situation and support the practical integration of the results into your everyday life.

Before making any other mandala, this one is a necessary first step. There are some important data which we can get only from the first encounter with the colour cards. Duration of the workshop is about 8 hours, either 1 full day or 2 half days.

Investment:
120 Sfr if done within a group
240 Sfr for a private session

Jiiva Mandala (The Portrait)

An exciting process of exploring the colours of your date of birth, first name and family name provides you with a clear vibrational message of who you are on the inside. Seeing your true colours shining bright, creates a profound field of healing self love. It strengthens your sense of purpose and your personal mission in life and frees you from dependencies in relationships.

Duration of the workshop or individual coaching is about 16 hours which can be spread over several days (for example on 2 weekends) so that this deep processes can take roots and continue to unfold.

Investment: 240 Sfr

Nida Mandala (The Nest)

To understand the dynamics of your relationships, especially the intimate ones, it is necessary to become aware of the patterns that you’ve developed in early childhood.

The nest is your first vibrational home that mirrors the bonds you have with your mother and father. This first triangle of forces is the key in tracking your “escape” or “chasing” tendencies in love relationships. On a deeper level it helps you to build a healthy relationship with your inner Self as you integrate the female and male aspects of the psyche.

Duration of individual coaching is about 16 hours which can be spread over a longer period of time ( 1-2 months). It is compulsory to accomplish “The Portrait” mandala  before you can embarque on  “The Nest”.

Investment:  240 Sfr

Matri-Patri Mandala (Ancestral Order)

If there are still unresolved issues haunting you after accomplishing the first 3 processes, or if you are simply curious about the hidden potential of your Family Tree, I can highly recommend the “Ancestral Order” project.

Oh, yes, it is a project for which you will have to dedicate a lot of time. Within 1-2 year period we will research up to 5 generations of your ancestors. Since you will already be skilled in this way of working  and therefore able to do the homework on your own, the amount of personal coaching can’t be predicted in advance.

Investment: 480 Sfr per module (max 5 modules and 2’400 Sfr)

Rasa Mandala (Matrix Release)

There are archetypal issues each of us has to go through in order to evolve, clear our karmic conditioning and eventually live our true purpose, our dharma. Sometimes we get stuck in our matrix and we do not move forward. “Rasa mandala” can bring the flow back into our life and be a navigation map as we sail from one topic to the other along the coast of archetypes, until we break free into the ocean of Cosmic Possibilities.

Duration of the individual coaching is between 16 – 24 hours, depending on the length of the matrix and can be spread over several days. One of the possible ways of learning about your personal matrix and creating a mandala is to participate on a retreat programs that I offer several times a year.

Investment: 240 – 360 Sfr

Akasha Mandala (Astro Mandala)

Do you want to know the colours of your astrological chart?

There is a way of translating the astro chart into a vibrational frequency of the colours.

If you already have your native chart, please bring it with you. If you don’t have one yet, we will trace it for you for free. Working on this mandala is like manifesting the mysteries of the stars here on earth, in front of your own eyes. And that is spectacular!

Sun, Moon, Moon node, Ascendent, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto…. As we go through the colour frequencies of the signs we also learn more about our personal constellations and their meaning.

Duration of the workshop is about 8 hours.

Investment: 160 Sfr

Shamanic Mandala (Medicine Wheel)

This exquisite mandala will express the results of the shamanic journeying. Power animals may appear during this process and can be integrated into a drawing. We will also focus on finding the placement of your native chart and study the animal allies who accompany you to the south, east, north and west.

Duration of the workshop is about 8 hours.

Investment: 160 Sfr

Madhu Mandala (Child Portrait)

Similar to ordering an astrological chart for a child, you can also order a child mandala which I will paint based on the colours of the child’s data: date of birth, name and family name. Explanations of the meanings of all 3 categories will be additionally provided in the form of a booklet.

Investment: 210 Sfr

Kalyana Mitra Mandala (Soulful Friendship)

For two who are deeply connected, this mandala offers a possibility of designing through mutual exchange and flow.

Frequencies of the Soul Colour combinations are interwoven in the refined web of cooperation and coexistence. Challenges may show up but also find their resolution. Hidden needs, expectations or fears can become visible and therefore possible to approach. Deep healing and support emerging from the colours and forms are the best proof of the power of soulful relationships.

Investment:  160 Sfr

Samgha Mandala (Blissful Community)

If you are a group of people living in or wanting to form a community, or you are a group of people that work on some project, you may benefit from creating a collective mandala based on the individual qualities of all the participants. This kind of work can make the entire group more aware of each others gifts and needs but also of each person’s unique way of participating and holding the space for others while reclaiming their own.

This also works help prevent unnecessary conflicts and helps us resolve upcoming issues in a creative, non-verbal and non-judgemental way.

Duration will depend on the number of participants.

Investment will also depend on the number of participants.

Diipa Mandala (Inner Light)

Blind people can also choose the colours based on their vibrational frequencies. Similarly to Vicky Wall, the founder of Aura-Soma Colour Therapy for the Soul, who became blind at the age 66 . Soon after she was guided to create her colour essences noticing that they correspond to the person’s aura, a field of energy that expresses itself as a colour only visible to the inner eye. The process for a blind person starts differently then for those who can see, but the depth of the process is exactly the same. After connecting with the person, I will then create a mandala on her/his behalf.

Tantra Touch

When two people love each other, there is a third force between them.
Sometimes when the friendship is in trouble, it is not to be healed by endless analyses or counselling.
You need to change the rhythm of seeing each other and come in contact again with the ancient belonging which brought you together. This ancient affinity will hold you together, if you invoke its power and presence around you.
John O’Donohue

Tantra Touch is a program specially developed to help you navigate through your relationships starting with the one you have with yourself and gradually expanding it to your love partner, your children, other family members, co-workers, partners, communities..

Learn how to noninvasively penetrate
from the subtlest level of consciousness to the cellular level of the physical body,
to the innermost structure of the DNA
and reverse the trauma response, remove the blockages
and remain in contact with the ancient belonging.

Tantra literally means “liberation from the darkness of ignorance.”
It is an ancient teaching that addresses all spheres of life
because it is rooted in observation of mutual relatedness of the entirety of creation.
The Painca Makar or “5 M-s” are the key for a deeper understanding of the given practices.
From advising on how to use water and treat the body hair to the most sophisticated meditation techniques,
tantra offers a holistic view on everything.
First systematised about 8000 years ago, it has served as a base and inspiration
for many schools of wisdom as well as influenced many strata of life.
Tantric views on gender, sexuality, spirituality, use of creative force
and the place of joy, pleasure, ecstasy and bliss in our individual and collective lives
has been largely preserved to this day.

Spirituality of the Senses

Withdrawal from the senses is the first step in recognizing how they have been conditioned and confused.
We will be using various ways of purifications, cleansings, detoxications while opening to the field of pure potentiality from which we can then approach our sensual life in a new, more complete and satisfying way.
Our senses are doorways to the mystical. They are able to provide us with ecstatic experiences. It is in and through our body and its sense organs that our soul becomes visible and real for us.

We will spend some time in silence before the mystery of our body and let it bring us toward wisdom and holiness. We’ll practice talking to our body, thanking it and asking for forgiveness.

We will embrace nature as our extended body and implement the same tools for healing.
In essence, there is no difference between our collective earth/nature home
and a tiny patch of our “private property” we call body.

Deep Dive - Healing Wounded Sexuality

Sexuality has been and still is one of the most misunderstood, misused and traumatised fields of human life.
Largely degraded to only physicality, hedonism and consumerism,
it has been stripped from its original raw essence and creative power.
The patriarchal approach to life has separated a human from her ability to co-create together with Cosmic Intelligence and to co-operate together with the rest of Creation.
It has separated the visible and the invisible, interior and exterior, temporal and eternal,
known and unknown, ancient and new, natural and divine, feminine and masculine. Both women and men have been victims of endless conditioning either toward deprivation or toward overstimulation of the sacral chakra which is the psycho-energy center in our body that deals with issues of sexuality.

In a safe space we work on releasing the patterns of fear and shame but also of craving and selfish pleasure. We learn how to use this powerful force to heal, and create an abundant, thriving life for ourselves,
our partners, our families and our communities.

Authentic movement, dance improvisation, asanas (yoga exercises), mudras (hand gestures) and pranayama ( deep breathing) are our tools of tapping into the body’s intelligence. We are deepening our relationship with all the profound energies and forces living and circulating within us, gently touching our wounds and offering them healing. Dance and Heart Circles, Mandala Magic and Nature Rituals may accompany our experience.

Workshops and programs in this section are run individually or in small groups of either women or men.
After learning how to go beyond gender, it is possible to work in a mixed group as well.

Soulful Friendship - Kalyana Mitra

Practicing soulful relationships by exploring the Kalyana Mitra concept is the main focus of this program. None of us can see our life totally. Therefore we depend on the ones who love us to see us where we cannot see for ourselves. Our Kalyana Mitra is such a soulful, noble friend who will not accept pretension, but will gently and very firmly confront us with our own blindness. Unlike sentimental friendships that are largely illusory,
our Kalyana Mitra complements our vision in a kind and critical way.
Here, relationship is seen as an ongoing and ever-deepening adventure and rediscovery of each other, a constant letting-go and a constant meeting! Love is not a future destination, conclusion, point of arrival, or a convenient story to tell others. Love is a state of being in which we are totally alive.
As Eckhart Tolle says “ Relationships aren’t here to make us happy for true happiness lies within. They’re here to make us profoundly conscious.“
This advanced program is particularly recommended for those in committed relationships.

Wisdom of the Womb

From a desire to invite a child all the way into the moment of it’s arrival in the physical world there are many
tantric practices that will make the process of pregnancy even more delightful.
Life is sacred and ever-changing.
We will accompany transformations that are happening in the physical, psychic and spiritual body of the mother, father and conceived baby. We will join with an extended community of friends who teach pregnancy yoga and they will share their wisdom with us in this program. We’ll explore the power of natural birth and many birth positions.
New mantras, belly mandalas, flower offerings, Ayurvedic teas and massage, Mystery Circles, collage and many other creative forms of expression will remind us that it is possible
to be always pregnant with new ideas and giving birth to a new world.

There is a womb wisdom that goes far beyond this amazing biological capacity,
a wisdom of navigating through the invisible , through the dark, through the feminine.

For women there are also separate courses with emphasis on entering, maintaining and departing from
the moon cycles. Celebrating maiden, mother and the crone we engage in
ayurvedic and yogic self-treatments, specific moon meditations and spiritual dances.
Invocation of the Goddess in her various aspects will bring us
into the energy field we need most in that moment.

Raising new life ( 0 - 2 years )

Soulful relationships between the two are increasing to include the offsprings.

Tantra, yoga and mystical traditions offer holistic perspective and bounty of practices that are related to raising new life. Here we address the complete wisdom of breastfeeding and nursing a child, baby massage, preparation of healthy and sentient meals but also learn important practices that you as a parent can do to maintain your inner harmony, physical and mental balance and spiritual connectedness and inspiration.

During the first 2 years of a child’s life mirror neurons are increasingly active.

Mind of a child is soft and formative. For that reason it is very important that you as a parent are maintaining your subtle flow, profound inner happiness and joy for life – your child will mirror it and absorb it down to the cellular level.

In this program we will also learn the importance of Ja’takarma.

Rising new life

Holistic Pedagogy ( from age 2 )

As parents, caretakers and educators we have a huge responsibility but also a delightful honour to contribute to the formation of child’s personality, to foster and cultivate the unfolding of the child’s full potential and to be the guides and examples of integration of those capacities into the life of the community and the society at large.

Holistic pedagogy addresses multiple aspects of the being: physical, sensorial, emotional, intellectual, creative, intuitional, sublime and social. In those workshops I will not only share my rich experience in working with children but will also host many dedicated educators from the fields of Nature Pedagogy, Children in Permaculture, Neohumanism, Reggio Emilia, Waldorf Pedagogy and Homeschooling.

Join this special 3-6 day workshops:

All workshops are accompanied with joyful new songs, dances and puppets.
Playful, loving and adventurous.

Sacred Rituals and Ceremonies

We have forgotten how to hear the stories and songs
that the winds are bringing to us.
We have forgotten to listen to the wisdom of the rocks
that have been here since the beginning of time.
We have forgotten how water refreshes and renews us.
We have lost the ability to listen to the plants
as they tell us which ones we should eat to live well.
We have lost the ability to listen to the animals as they give us their gifts of love…
We have cut ourselves off from all these relations,
and then we wonder how we can so often be bored and lonely.
Sun Bear and Wabun

Ritual and ceremony bring us together by cherishing the feeling of subtle belonging to each other
and to a big Whole. They bring a spirit of benevolence to everything we do.
They teach us to consciously honour, celebrate and fuel with love, attention and intention
various important happenings in our personal lives as well as the lives of our communities
They infuse our social life and commitments with a spiritual force.
They show us that, as we are part of one another, we do share a responsibility of a gentle care for everyone’s life. And finally, ritual and ceremony show us that, as we rejoice together, something bigger than the sum of all of us has been formed – a giant organism that works in synchronicity, a coordinated team moving together, a true society of inclusion, as expressed in the very first written text humanity has created, a Rg Veda

Let us move together, let us sing together,                         Sam’gacchadhvam’ sam’vadadhvam’

Let us come to know our deepest self together                              Sam’vo manamsi janatam

Let us share our riches like the sages of the past                            Deva bhagam’ yatha pu’rve

So that all beings can enjoy the Universe                                      Sam’janana upasate

Let us unite our intentions                                                  Samani va aku’tih

Let our hearts be inseparable                                            Samana hrdayani vah

And our minds as one mind                                              Samanam astu vo mano

So that we, as we truly know one another, become One                          Yatha vah susahasati.

Ritualistic Mask Building

Find your heart and your hands and use them together
so that in your health or in any other area of life you can find the spirit of all spirits.
D. Carson & N. Sammons

Since time immemorial masks have accompanied communities and individuals in their spiritual, social and worldly affairs. To build a mask and to make it alive, that is indeed a deep process and also a chance to heal something in us that was neglected for too long. Emotional wounds, childhood traumas, destructive relationships are just some examples of possible areas. But we might also have issues of not knowing ourselves fully enough, of being challenged to discover a new face that is hiding inside of us and whose time has come to show itself in the world.

An exciting 5 day immersion in virtually all forms of art for which you do not need to have special talent or previous experience, this course takes place only once a year so be sure to reserve your spot as soon as it’s been advertised.
A new online version is on offer as well.

Stage Plays with Ritualistic Masks

After creating at least one ritualistic mask you are entitled to participating in a stage play with other masks and their makers. It is possible to bring the ritualistic mask which you have made on your own or on some other Ritualistic Mask Building course. Mask plays are providing us with creative, spontaneous, unexpected insights. They require a minimum of 6 and maximum of 12 participants.

Circle Dances

An one hour session that may extend to more if desired, exploring the sacred dances
from different traditions. Whenever possible with live music and drumming.
Sharing the joy of dancing and connecting with each other. Touching all kinds of
emotions and learning how to channel them toward the sublime goal. Improvising. Having fun.

Retreats are a great opportunity for conducting sacred rituals and ceremonies.
You can also invite me to your home or place in nature where I can lead the participants through the ritual.
We may drum, chant and recite mantras, create nature mandalas and rejoice in sacred dances.

Yogic Treatments & Natural Remedies

Yogic Treatments and natural remedies

Knowing that you love the earth changes you, activates you to defend and protect and celebrate.
But when you feel that the earth loves you in return, the feeling transforms the relationship
from a one-way-street to a sacred bond.
Robin Wall Kinmarer

Are you aware that yoga exercises were “invented” by observing the natural phenomena, plants, animals and human babies. Nothing is more natural for us but to give ourselves a true yogic treatment!!!

The earth loves us. Let us cherish this sacred bond with her by exploring her gifts and integrating them in our lives, by listening to her heartbeat, by respecting her profound laws.
Traditional and modern yogic diet is the best medicine we can have.
Sometimes the help of the various herbs can be taken to strengthen our health and release us from toxicity.
Fasting is also a very known way of improving physical and mental health.
There are also several yogic dances that can not only help us improve our health,
but also lift us into the transcendental realms of existence.

Join Yoga Island Retreat or my yoga classes

Asanas and Mudras

It always feels good to stretch into a yoga posture, learn to regulate our hormonal system, balance the mind and deeply relax. Self massage is a compulsory part of each yoga session.

Hand gestures, mudras, are very subtle regulators of inner energy flows. But mudras are also particular placements for our subtil  ideation and creation of very particular streaming of light. Pranayama, the regulation of vital force, is the ultimate restorer of our broken or depleted self.

Many other kinds of very effective treatments are given to us for free by nature but we have to learn how to use them in a more effective and appropriate way: sun-bathing, mud packs, water treatments and so on.

Ayurvedic perspective on seven elements or materials of our body composition as well as three principles of the body function are always taken in consideration before advising the treatment.

Herbalism and Astrology

Holistic herbalism understands that plants can heal the body and facilitate the evolution of consciousness,
supporting our soul’s journey of becoming the best version of ourselves.

Healing Heartist is an Alchemist who understands that to heal is to evolve, to grow.
That symptoms of different dis-ease are the keys for transformation
and learning how to operate in a new way.
But you are a unique person with a unique constellation so it has to be specially researched
which plants can help you best in your current situation.

Astrology is the language of the stars through which otherwise impersonal Universal Intelligence
speaks to us in a very intimate and poetic way.

Understanding the signs of the zodiac helps us
to see ourselves and the world around us in a new, more holistic way.
With relating herbalism to the zodiac, we will have a
new lens to see the plants through and understand the archetypal forces that are
operating behind the healing processes on physical, mental and soul level.
We will find the key pattern that connects the stars to the earth, planets to the plants,
big cosmic plan to our personal purpose.

It will open our eyes to the meaning of everything that is happening and how it can be accompanied by plants.
Painting your own Akasha Mandala ( Celestial Map ) may beautifully enhance this program.

Dances and Songs

Ancient tradition of dancing while chanting the mantras is a perfect tool for transcendental and devotional experience. Kiirtan embodies the science of using our sensory and motor organs toward the supreme goal. We explore Lalita Marmika (simple dance steps) as well as mudras (hand gestures) and mandal (forms in which we move through space). Special focus will be placed on Avartha Kiirtan ( honouring six directions) and Akhanda Kiirtan (circular movement of female and male energies around the cosmic nucleus). Wisdom of tantric and shamanic teachings accompanies our ecstatic journey.

Kaoshikii, the dance of the 5 kosas ( layers of the mind ) and beyond, is the most effective yogic dance designed to activate your vital force, easen delivery process, prevent 22 diseases and, when done with full ideation, transport you in the realm of transcendentality. It is particularly beneficial for women.

Tandava, the vigorous dance from ancient times of Sadashiva is specifically beneficial for man. Beside great benefits for physical health, it is also a psychic remedy for overcoming fear and other limitations.

Songs of the New Dawn, also known as Prabhata Samgiita are also used in healing of psychic / soul longings but also for some specific diseases.

Mantras from different spiritual traditions can be used to treat specific ailments. Shamanic drumming is an amazing tool for heart healing, vision quests and journeying.

Heart Circles

Let yourself be made new by your willingness to drop everything you know,
and float in the Unknown Sea of the Heart
Jeannie Zandi

Radiating from our heart (Anahata Chakra) we create a sacred circular space for people in need of healing.
We chant a particular “heart mantra” on which
the waves of healing energy flow toward the receiver. Heart Drum’s beat may accompany this healing play between the giver and the taker. Who is who?
Heart Circle is inspired by the wisdom of yoga, tantra, Anam Cara and shamanism

Clearing the energy field through special meditation gives additional support to a person in need of healing and prepares the space for the next one. Depending on the size of a group there may be more than just one person in the middle of a circle.

You are welcome to invite me to your circle of friends and relatives, to a nature area that needs protection,
to a special party/ceremony, for a special occasion
( New or Full Moon, Solstice, Equinox, entering a new astrological sign or a big cycle, entering puberty.)
